movie! Finally, the rest of the world sees what we've seen in him
for years. And seeing Brandon Routh shirtless, of course, is the
best. Brandon
James Routh is the latest face of Superman. Our real-life Superboy
was born on October 9, 1979 in
Des Moines, Iowa and raised in Norfolk, interestingly in the same
hometown of the original Superman, George Reeves. Routh is also known for his notable roles in ABC series Odd
Man Out and also the hot nighttime soap Undressed. His chest is amazing
in the soap, as the pictures of Brandon Routh shirtless here show.
In fact, he also had a
stint in Christina Aguilera’s music video and in the famous series
Gilmore Girls, followed by notable parts in series -One life to lead,

contest in 2003 dressed as Clark Kent with his shirt open to reveal

looking for a fresh face and was quite impressed by Brandon Routh. As
soon as news spread for his casting role, there came a number of
criticisms of his ability to pull the film through. The latest
‘Superman returns’ is likely to be released in 3oth June, 2006. Brandon's ability to portray the super hero role of Clark Kent has been repeatedly
questioned, referring to his young looks; well similar criticism were
faced by Christopher Reeve too and even Tom Welling. There are queries
regarding his height and even body posture. Still it’s the performance
that really matters, whether he can pull off the role of the super
strong man. Recently he was talking about his body posture, that he
slouched less after the intense training for the filming, where he needs
to look his best. Already he confesses that he actually feels different
after wearing the Superman suit and makes the character he portrays much
easier. Fans are burning up to watch the film, written by Michael Doherty and Dan Harris. One special 5 minute footage that was presented has really silenced the criticisms and is now certain of his ability to play the role of Superman. Kate Bosworth plays Lois Lane.

Brandon afraid of being typecast in the Superman role?
Not really.
He feels that he will have the choice between many roles in the
future, especially since independent films are big now.
He says he has faith in his acting talent and knows that he can
step out of the Superman role. However, he may not know yet the extent of
fame that will happen to him once the movie hits theatres.
Superman made his first appearance in 1938, in Action Comics. The story went on to radio, movies and television, making Superman a household name to generations. There has been a lot of buzz in Hollywood about Brandon Routh in the Superman role. In March 2006, Brandon was presented with the “Male Star Of Tomorrow Award” at the 2006 ShoWest awards. Many people feel that the role of Superman will propel Brandon into instant stardom, at a level he has not seen yet. So far, Brandon has had several varying parts, however, none nearly as large as the role he took on in “Superman Returns”. He doesn’t mind being compared to those who played the part before, though.
