Brandon takes his role of Superman very seriously.  He loved the 1978 “Superman: The Movie” which starred Christopher Reeve. He wants to make sure he does justice to the role.  He feels it’s time for another Superman movie, with more than 25 years passing since the Reeve versions.  Brandon wants to make sure the movie is real and that viewers will come away from the movie thinking that it was a great film, not just a good comic book story. Brandon took on the persona of Clark Kent, who is close to Brandon’s real life personality.

Brandon has always been a huge Superman fan.  He read the comic books as a child. He also had Superman pajamas.  Brandon tells the story of when he first saw the Superman movie starring Christopher Reeve.  He was about 6 years old and was dressed in his Superman pajamas.  He got himself so excited about seeing the movie that he got a migrane headache and could barely watch the first half of the movie. As an almost premonition, Brandon dressed up as Clark Kent / Superman for a Halloween costume party a year before he ever knew he would try out for the part.

When Brandon donned the Superman suit and cape for the first time, he almost became Superman. Brandon said, “Instantly there’s a sense of power by putting it (the suit) on because of how tight it is”  He says he actually felt confident and more powerful when wearing the suit.  The colors on the Superman suit were changed slightly to keep up with the times.  The blue was made more vibrant, to stand out better against the other colors.  The red was changed slightly, done in an almost burgundy shade, which at times appears almost black.  The effect was forceful.  The yellow “S” on the chest was made slightly smaller than the one used in the Christopher Reeve movies and was made to look more like the “S” from the comic books of the 1930’s and 1940’s. The changes are not overly apparent but the general effect is a good one.
